Name of Build: '65 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C
Kit manufacturer: Revell
Scale: 1/24
Description
The Shelby Cobra... Very nice kit from Revell with some nice options. A popular subject to anyone sporting a little bit of grey hair. I chose to copy a Paint scheme I fell in love with on the internet as it had a European look to it.
This was my first successful attempt at a gloss finish. The colours were custom mixed using Tamiya flats and then glossed with 3 coats of gloss laquer followed by some very careful sanding and polishing a few days later.
It had some minor fit issues with the hood only. I definately had some fun scratch building the exhausts , flocking the interior and detailing the gauge bezels on the dash.
All in all I'm very pleased with how it turned out. I'm looking forward to building another one someday and would definately recommend this kit to anyone.
I hope you like it.
