Another one on the bench is the 1978 F1 entry of Theodore Racing (TR).
TR purchased a couple used cars from Walter Wolf Racing in the middle of the '78 season, and could only come up with a 10th place finish.
This is the 1:20th kit with white metal parts, a p/e fret and enough decals to pick one of three liveries,..

Apparently TR decided to add this new air disturber... there it is.. needing much putty, and sanding..

Built the transmission, painted with Alclad ALC 114 gunmetal and then rubbed with Mr. Zip

Wired the distributor with kit supplied wire. and added p/e where called for..I've started using clear parts cement for added dry time..and I can wipe away excess with a swab and water..

I sprinkled black embossing powder onto wet, brushed on, Future clear...

Then I put a heavy coat of Duplicolor black sandable primer..(thumbsup)

Shell into primer.. the kill switch access hole had to be drilled through the cowl panel..
Freezing rain alert tonight, ... I feel some bench time coming up tomorrow (2thumbsup)
Cheers

Nice !

I'm going to be needing more 1/20 bodies to work with for the Hofnarr dio .
Sources to add to my file will be much appreciated :D

Cheers
Those figs are 1/20 Tamiya pit crew set #89608..all but one of them in shorts... and they do seem large to me..here is one with the Tamiya driver figure...
RqaB5un.jpg

That is the Jody Scheckter figure...I think he was over 6 ft. tall tho..the waving figure measures
3 5/8", which translates to just over 6' tall..guess it's the Sheckter figure thats wonky sized...
I cranked up the spray booth today and shot some colour..

Duplicolor white and red over their sandable grey primer
Now to mask off and shoot Alclad into that cockpit (fingers crossed)

Sweeeet... Nicely done. Look forward to the completion...
Makes me want to pull out an old Heller 908 and 917. Good inspiration, I'd say. Thank you.

I hope you get started on the Hellers...
Finally found time to crank up the booth and shoot some Alclad II chrome for lexan
