For the 2nd entry will be doing a '65 Chevy stepside. Looks like a decent kit..Strted by opening the drivers side door, cutting out the factory guage cluster and radio, made a battery trey and strap from brass. Assorted details.
1st for start pic..
It's a very crappy photo, sorry, didn;t realize it originally..

So off we go like a heard of turtles...So started by taking the drivers side door out. Thinned it down with the standard back edge of a #11 blade then wnet to thread to finish it up.

Next started on engine and trans. Adding details, the the engine an oil dipstick tube and the trans the cover and linkage but may go with a top loader instead, haven;t decided yet. So if i go with a top loader then the linkage will be removed..

Haven't had very much time..Wanted to look at everyones work but that or this!! So did some work on the engine. The carb, put in 2 ventura and a butterfly, return spring, mechanical actuator to the butterfly, mount for throttle line, and put in a fuel line with inline filter. On the tranny, decided to go with a top loader. the bell housing is solid, not made for an auto so opened it up put in an fork intl the bell housing. Also there was no fuel pump so made one and connected to the fuel line..Rusted the exhaust manifolds the end of pipes still need some work.. Also almost done with the door..

Thanx..After making the engine all pretty time to give it a couple years of neglect. So am about half way on the weathering on the engine...
