Hello,

This is the old Fantastic Plastic A-Wing. The detail pales in comparison to the RB-26 kit. So, I decided to make some alterations to it to make it look like the Ralph McQuarrie concept art. This kit was a pain in the butt to paint. I cleaned it and cleaned and it cleaned it some more, but every time I masked it it pulled the paint off...... :x :x :x :x :x :x So, I had to use crappy masking tape and barely stick it to the kit and do very very fine cotes with the airbrush so it would not bleed. Here are some pics, beside it is the RB-26 kit done as Green Leader. Thanks for looking!!

The green one is sitting above a sea mine ?

If you have only aggressive tape - you can stick it and remove it repeatedly on another surface to make it ' low tack '..

These are styrene like the name says or resin .?

Pretty neat

Thanks guys!!! I never realized it looked like a sea mine until you mentioned it. The base is half of a snow globe with random greebification.

Looks good- I've always preferred the concept A-Wing to the version they went with
It's got to be a lot longer too- almost X-Wing sized!

That resin problem sucks- I've run into that on occasion
I wonder if there's not somehow release agent getting into the resin?
I've heard degreaser works on that- but have not tried it myself
