Sweet !...they've got a nice shape to em ...I'll be watching :D

Chris.

Wicked Jeeves. I like the retro markings on the Prowler.

Love the Navy centenial schemes.

You do realize the kit is an A and the pic is a B? ???

I'm good with it if you are. ;)

Thanks guys!!

ShutterAce...groan...no I didn't know :(. Not being a jet person I never even noticed...what sort of things differentiate an A from a B??

2 man crew vs 4 man crew. The airframe between the wing and the nose is different.

That said it would still look cool.

Intruder = EA-6A Retired in 1997
Prowler = EA-6B Still active

Both Cool airframes !!! go for it !
as they are both Navy A/C so.. you are still GO !

if you feel Bummed out ? you can still find some pretty cool scheme for the Desert Storm Campain
where the Intruder was extensivly used

A-6A/E Tram is a 2 seat light bomber

EA-6A is a 2 seat Electronic Warfare platform

EA-6B is a 4 seat Electronic Warfare platform

Well...considering-

A. I don't do competitions
B. I build for fun
C. This scheme is cool
D. I already purchased a huge package of numerous Centennial decals to use only one to begin with...

I'm just going forward with this as is...I'm not going to use the pudgy crew people anyways ;)

Heck... The basis for this GB is "Navy Birds"... so... I am behind you with this !!!

Go for it... It is such a Cool Scheme....

Can I ask you is tell me about the WING Fit on your kit... especially the Wing Root to the fuselage...

The Kinetic kit is going to take some (Patience) and lots of persuasion ! or is it the opposite ? I gave up on it last night… so used to Tamiya fit this …. Sent me to the roof !!! especially on such a new kit !!!

I agree with the other guys. I'm totally cool with it being an "A" in the centennial scheme. Run with it!

Thanks everyone-- will do! I don't really do jets...other than Korean War ones I have in the stash...so to even purchase one was pretty weird for me ;)

schweinhund227...I have only glued wing top to bottom so far and there is very little to no gaps which is unlike my usual Revell experiences ;) I'll keep you posted as I progress...

:eek: Wow ! I am jealous of your Dry brushing... skills ! Not fair ! LOL

I haven't even touched the Cockpit yet.... Most excellent start my friend !

Awesome awesome awesome! I love looking at this plane and it appears I'm spoiled for choice in the GB. Dude that cockpit looks fantastic!
The high gloss paint would look great, don't see too many of those out there on people's shelves.

Thanks guys...

Honestly speaking...most of the paints used here were the dollar craft paints from AC Moore...they seem to brush on nicely...not as nice as Vallejo, but the nearest LHS is 40 minutes ;)

Also a Prismacolor silver pencil on the highlights ;)
