1/48 Lancaster bomber

It's a beast alright :)

Quite a bit of work today although looking at the pics you wouldn't think so ??? Spent a lot of time filling and sanding around the engine nacelles. I have been pondering how best to mask off the landing gear and came across this idea on another post . Made some boxes from a cereal box.

Finally got some primer on the wings which have given me the biggest headache on this build so far. A couple of little bits still need some work but feel like I've made a huge jump :) :)

The main fuselage is prepped for primer. I started on the arduous task of masking all that glass. The Eduard masks are a god send, not sure i could tackle this build with out them and keep my sanity :p

Thanks for looking :)

Keep plugging away man, looks like really clean work there. I saw one of these at the RAF mueseam and they are HUGE.

Thank you for the comments gentlemen :)

So here's the result of about 2 hours work last night, did I mention how awesome the Eduard masks are ? ;)

I've only got the dorsal turret to go and I can get on to some more primer :)

Oh wow that looks like an intense masking job  It came out great though. Well worth the two hours you spent doing it.

Precious little bench time over the last month or so but have made a little progress.

Prime time :)

Needs a little more work to get the lines crisper.
Thanks for looking :)

Nice to see this moving forward, looks like she's getting closer to graduating from shelf queen to super model ;D ;D ;D

Thanks gents :D. I think I'm going to go over the brown and darken it up a bit after checking some reference pics, and still not 100% happy with the lines on the camo. I might mask off the green to get some sharper lines.
