This one's been setting on a shelf...in a box....then in primer for way too long, decided a couple of weeks ago to start painting it.

I took some ideas from all the members of Gold Squadron painting schemes I could find and came up with my own...it's maybe Gold 6.

Built pretty much straight from the box...some details to the cockpit...and I replaced all the guns.....and I will probably replace the R2 with an R5.

Thanks for looking.... ;D

Fantastic work mate. This was definately one of my favourite ships from the series, and you've done a amazing job!

Its really hard to weather this one to scale. I don't know why but it alludes so many builders. You have seamed to nail it though! I also am going to refer to these pics for the weathering when I paint my Y.

Thanks for the great build!!!

Awesome job on this kit. 8) I really like the weathering effect you accomplished. Very nice reference material in the future. I'd very much like to locate one of these 1:48 scale kits for my own collection.

I'm pretty sure Alfred still sells them here....http://www.alfredsmind.ca/productspg.html

And thanks for the nice words...

Thanks for the link. Soooo tempting.

Alfred lists it at 1:35 scale. How big is this one? 20"+ long?
