That NMF is definitely looking good.
ANd I would definitely suggest putting white under your yellow on the nose.

More work completed last night. White has been applied, and the gunmetal looks way darker than it should, but it's all good!

Just about done with the painting. Only need to address some minor bleed under issues, but overall I am very happy with how it came about. Even though I did forget to address scaling down the tone of the gunmetal around the machine gun, but that's just a lesson learned. Was concerned with the yellow because of the layers of white I had to spray, but it came out better than I expected.

Was able to start applying the decals last night. It is coming along better than expected, but still some ways to go.

Completed some more decaling last night. The band around the fuselage maybe to far back, but at least I was able to get it wrapped around. Which I believe is an accomplishment in itself. Next go around, I may paint these paints.

Started on the stencil decals. Bottom is completed, working on the top then the sides.

In the homestretch now. Decals applied, plus a couple coats of Future. Might add a couple of more and then add the drop tanks and the pitot tube and call if a day.

Still trying to work on this. trying to figure out how to do a wash so I've been practicing on the first F-86 attempt. I am not feeling it, but I wanted to show to see if anyone can help point me in the right direction. Using oil paint in mineral spirit for the wash.

Kicker with washes, is getting the excess off before it just comes out looking like dirty muck wiped all over the model.
Paint it on the area, let it sit for a mionute or three, then wipe off the excess, usually in the direction of airflow in the case of aircraft
