I may be soon purchasing a 1/24 car model of the 1920s. Can anyone recommend any figures (probably a driver and passenger) that would go well for this period? Male or female, whatever.

If you check out some of the AMT kits like the 29 Lincoln or the 32 Chryslers, some of the issues of those kits had figures in them and the bonus was they are dressed in the correct period attire.

Thanks. I remember I used to have an (AMT?) Ford model A with Laurel and Hardy figures in it, but that has since been lost.

Tamiya has 1:20 th Campus crew
Fujimi has 1:24 th Pit Crew
Hobby Link Japan has "Homies" in 1:25 th
There are probably more ?

Tamiya Campus friends are 1/24th not 1/20th. Some Aves apoxie sculpt would help with proper dress.
www.peoplescale.com has figures, http://www.motorheadminiatures.net has a few girls in the vixen line that may work for that era. They are pre-painted but can be painted over easily.
Scale productions is another source for resin based figures. Nice quality. I have ordered several from them. http://www.scaleproduction.de/index.php/language/en/cat/c12_Figures.html
Preiser has pre-painted figures but they are costly and you have to be careful when ordering because they carry G scale and 1/24th scale. Some say G scale works, they do not, it is G or 1/22.5 and the figures look huge next to cars and 1/24th scale figures.
The last one I will leave you with is http://www.seltd.net/products.html they have some figures as well
that with some additional work could be fixed.
