I started this back in April or May of last year, and when I got down to the tiny, fragile fiddly parts parked it for awhile. With some motorcycle kits, there comes a point where it gets treacherous to pick it up and handle it...

Was trying to make to make it look somewhat like my old Vstar Classic, which was a 650, metallic red.. I miss that bike... Currently ride a '96 Honda Magna V-4 muscle cruiser which smokes the pavement. More to come soon.

Didn't get quite as far along as I had wanted, but still, nearly there. I managed to drop/lose one of my front turn signal lenses into the netherworld so I have to make new ones, which I'm making from clear acetate and UV doming resin. Aside from that, I just have the clutch and brake cable from the handlebar controls.

Thanks. I was at a loss as to what to do about my missing turn signal lens. I tried to scratch one from clear acetate and UV resin, I didn't like it. Then considered just purchasing a replacement sprue from Tamiya but didn't really want to for the one part, and then it hit me. 5mm topaz rhinestone beads are actually pretty dang perfect. I'll just replace all 4 so that they match. Will look custom.

So last week when I thought I had lost the lens piece, I sent Tamiya USA an email inquiring about purchasing a replacement clear sprue. I got no response, or I figured it'd take a while for somebody to get back to me. When I got home today, I found a little box from Tamiya with a replacement sprue in it. Sent it free of charge. Like it's a small sprue, but still, that is awesome. Time to go buy some more Tamiya kits.

It's been awhile, but I "think" I stippled it with Testors Aircraft Interior Black with a real soft brush, and then airbrushed a semi-gloss clear over it.
