Finally got around to doing an overview of the Blue Thunder build.

I reprinted the main fuselage into two halves for better access for the electronics. It also printed the exterior curves better.

It is (IMO) right about the time to get involved. For many years the tools and software were either primitive or very expensive. That gap is narrowing to the sweet spot right now. A "16K" printer that would have cost thousands just a few years ago is a few hundred today, and far less if buying used..

The curve will get better, but you'll be on the downslope, the declining side of the curve. I think the perfect time is 2026.

More work on Frank Murphy. The helmet scaled down to 1/12 pretty well.

That is a good-looking Blue Thunder. I have always liked that helicopter.
