Just got this in the mail from Japan.

This is my first Bandai kit. Very impressed with how at going together.

Looks like a fairly straight forward build there as well.

I'm very tempted to do BanDai's Tie-Fighter next.
 
Sweet looking kit. Looks like you can pose it. I'm curious to see what you do with the seams. It looks like most of them are in natural locations. I've only done one model with chrome on it (a Naboo fighter) and the seams look horrible.
 
Bandai usually does a good job with the seams. This one is supposed to be undergated. That means the connections to the sprue are inside the parts and not attached on the outsides where the nubs would show.

I don't have the kit yet, but did some reading on it....
 
The two seams along the side of his torso are the worst of them so far. Otherwise it's not too bad.

Couple more steps done. Moving slow because of family obligations.

I think it would be possible. There would need to be a good deal of re-engineering inside his head. But it could probably be done.
 
Well, if it helps, the "real thing" had some pretty horrendous seams back in the day, too
