Pros and Cons of painting tank tracks before or after

I do the same, be careful of excess glue on the finish paint. You will to paint over that.

SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

Picked it up for my Daughter, loves Godzilla. Then Minus one came out with this plane starring in it. It was re-released for a short time with the decals to the movie.

SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

They certainly made some strange looking planes back then - kinda like the Dornier 'Arrow'

    Old clear coat

What you’re trying to achieve is the patina look, not old, damaged clearcoat.

    My new venture

Those are cool subjects. I can’t paint figures worth a d*mn.

Heh, Dehydrators… personally, they’re a waste of money especially if you’re using acrylics. Enamels can dry fairly easy if not applied thick. I don’t see a need for one. This is suppose to be a relaxing hobby, not one to rush to get the paint dry so you can move on to the next step.

You can do waaaaay better than Hobby Lobby and Amazon. I hate Amazon and will not support them anymore. See link the member has posted. A thread was started on various hobby related online stores. All are highly recommended.

Pros and Cons of painting tank tracks before or after

Good day all, I hand paint, i dont have the tools or abilities at this time to airbrush. I have a Ryefield RM5050 and am closing in on the tank tracks. Curious as per title of pros/cons of painting before and after assembly - lots of parts to this one. Thanks everyone.

    STYNYLREZ Primers.

If it freezes it's ruined and nothing will restore it.

I put all my models in a dehydrator after painting. I just use a small one I had for making deer jerky. Not very expensive but will not accommodate larger 1/48th scale planes so those get to sit and cure naturally.

    STYNYLREZ Primers.

I've used it with good results. I have heard complaints from folks that ordered it and got it delivered during cold weather and apparently it doesn't like the cold.
