    Vallejo Matt Varnish (70.520)

I spray it straight out of the bottle. But, like stated above, personal preference. Practice on some scrap first til you decide what you like.

    Spray Booth Recommendations?

Yeah, they are enclosed fans. But sometimes they have a low CFM rating (suction).

    Spray Booth Recommendations?

Just get yourself a range hood. It serves a few purposes. Built in enclosed motor (no sparks) with variable fan speeds, light, and makes the top of your booth for you. You can check with some appliance recycling/salvage places. Sometimes you can find an old one that still works and they will...

Stripping paint? Enamel (humbrol) and Acrylic (tamiya)

For sure does nothing to paint... hence the "off topic" aside ;D And when I say volatile, I'm referring to the smell and need for gloves. ;) But, I digress and back off so as not to derail the thread.

Stripping paint? Enamel (humbrol) and Acrylic (tamiya)

Not to get off topic here, but I just use plain ol bleach for stripping chrome. A lot less volatile than Super Clean, and a lot cheaper too. Works in under a minute.

    Paints

Local hardware store for basic fittings on your compressor. Ebay or other online store for the step down to airbrush sizes. (Some hardware stores may have 1/8" stuff, most do not. LHS maybe?) Some people prefer the fittings that have the built in O rings, but they are more expensive and can...

    My spray booth I'm building

I know it's too late, but you should have made a drill jig. Take a board and drill one row of holes into it like you want it and use that as a drill guide for each row. Little trick I use when drilling adjustable shelf peg holes in my cabinets. Makes em nice and uniform.

I need help, spam sent frommy RR account to my contacts list

Sounds like a run of the mill keylogger if I've ever seen one. Malwarebytes is the key. Run it and then change your pw... in that order. Otherwise, the logger will pick up your new pw b4 you can get rid of it.

    My spray booth I'm building

That's nothing. You should have seen the booth my father and I built for his cabinet shop. The idea here was to have one big enough to accommodate my 1/350 Enterprises. eve? Not familiar with that one. Nah, probably not me ;)

    VA Earthquake

Anyone else feel the effects of this one? I've dealt with hurricanes and tornadoes a lot in my life, but this is my first earthquake. Well, technically second. There was a small 3.something a couple years ago epicentered about 2 miles from my house. But that one just made one loud boom and...

    Masking help!

What type of paint are you using? Acryl, enamel... what brand? Are you priming? What type of masking tape? I have found that the cheaper masking tape tends to have a little bit stickier sticky side. How long are you leaving it on b4 removing? All of these are contributing factors... The...

    Vallejo stick to my hairbrush

IMO, this entire thread just makes me glad I went ahead and spent the few extra $ on a good airbrush. Iwata FTW! So easy to break down and clean. Even when I do have trouble with certain paints/mixtures/thinners, it is all easily cleaned up and back together in <5 mins.

Tamiya Flat Black Paint - Difficult to get hold of

http://store.midtennhobbies.com/tamiya-23ml-bottles-c423.aspx Currently sold out of XF-1, but these guys have the best prices on the 23ml bottles I have found. I recommend buying in bulk tho to make shipping charges worthwhile. But they process and ship very fast. Everytime I have dealt with...
