    A tip I just learned recently and never thought of. Always store your good paint brushes tip down after cleaning, it keeps solvents and such from settling in the ferrule and loosening the adhesive/hairs install the protective tubes to support the bristles when storing this way.

    do any of the pros here use "inks"? I did a little research and found that there are both "opaque" and "transparent" inks also acrylic is only one type of ink and as many products there are variations in quality(good vs cheap). I had no idea that "ink" is a broad category as it is .. thanks...

    Today at the craft store I saw a set of different colored artist inks in the clearance section. the package was partially open but the contents were fine. I started to grab it but wasn't sure what to use them for , tho I know modelers use them. can you guys school me on uses for inks? thanks

    in the states you can find them in the dollar type stores as a "drink mixer".. it has a little spring on the end you simply pop off , for a couple dollars, well worth getting.

    I had my modeling knife roll off the table and without thinking tried to stop it from hitting the floor with my foot... really dumb, of course it went thru my sock and took a nice little stab between the toes. I since changed over to the anti roll type...that hurt !

    thanks . I got the divided drawers from my old modeling tackle box . I had to trim them just a little so 2 side by side fit in each drawer perfect. I really like having that extra elbow room on the worktop that the drawers provide.

    thanks for the tip bro .. I don't use many Tamiya paint products but I have the modelmaster acrylic transparent's .. they should work the same both being acrylics, I'll give it a try next chance

    :-\thanks for the links soarinsoukhoi... I guess I can count myself lucky (so far) it may be that some people are putting it on too thick ,, and we all know how long enamels take to dry if too heavy a coat is applied.it can take a lifetime !

    it's sounds similar to using Future .. future works quite well at pulling a decal down into panel lines and over rivets..just takes a good while to shrink and dry. I've also heard people use dilluted pva glue the same way and swear by it.
