    Opening stuck paint jars

I have found that taking a rubber band and putting it arround the cap works wonders. Very easy and cheep method. If you cannot get a good enough grip on the jar then put a rubber band on both. HTH and God Bless, Ken

u.s. multible gun motor carriage m16

Very nice looking build! Love the colors. A second suggestion on the gloss coat thing. Future (or Klear in parts of Europe) can also be brush painted just on the areas that the decals are to be applied. Future self-levels so it will eliminate any brush marks. Just about any decal setting...

    Monogram 1/48 TBF

Brad, I am looking forward to seeing the P-47. I can undserstand what you are talking about on fuselage joins. When I built my C-47 both halves of the fuselage were warped. I ended up starting on one end and glueing 1" at a time. I do use liquid cement and that helped a bit. Still took me...

Tamiya 1/48 scale Avro Lancaster BIII build

If you are concerned about the decals I suggest getting some Microscale Liquid Decal Film. A couple coats over the decals and then just use them as normal. I use a brush to apply this to my older decals before using them. HTH and God Bless, Ken

Brad, There are SOOOOOOOOO many memorable (at least for me) thunderbolt markings out there. Which ones were you thinking of doing? Having fun with the P-39? What has been the biggest jump-at-ya lesson on that build so far? God Bless, Ken

Did Scott get Red 6 done as he hoped?

In the early ninetys I burned myself out of modeling because I built two 1/72 F-14 kits under a timetable for a show. It took me about two months to get both done but I really lost my taste for the hobby. I did not pick up kit again until fall of '08. I hope Scott does not push himself too...
