Is there an alternative to Klear/Future in the UK

The Pledge one is definitely sold in Morrisons as well.

First build - Tamiya 1/350 Yamato w/ Lionroar

With the skill (OCD lol) you already have, I refuse to believe you are capable of a bad paint job. It's just like a catalogue for all the PE available for that kit. All perfectly applied.

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk1a (New Tool)

Finished at last! First plane I have finished since I was a kid (41 now lol) Pretty pleased how it turned out and used it to hone and learn some new skills especially using my airbrush. Hopefully this will spur me on to finish more of my many started kits. If it is good enough for the gallery I...

    strangest model in your stash....

This is quite unusual I suppose?

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk1a (New Tool)

Decalling started after a few coats of Klear. Micro Sol is amazing at getting the decals to sit down in the panel lines. Still to do underneath and then another coat of Klear. Then a panel wash and some weathering, and then a nice flat cote.

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk1a (New Tool)

An update!! Now you've picked yourself up off the floor, I gave myself a kick up the arse and got stuck in with the Blu-Tac this afternoon. Here are the result of my first camo job since I was about ten.

    Trumpeter or Airfix?

I have that Airfix 1/24 P-51D and have started seperating the parts and cleaning them up. I think with any kit that big, getting your joins nice and clean is crucial as they show up more, so expect some filler work on either kit. Also, if you are doing an aluminium/chrome finish it is even more...

Music: What do you listen to when you build.

If I do have music on it is normally something slow to relax me and help me focus like early Enigma or Jean Michel Jarre albums Takes me back to my snowboarding days gliding through the snow.

    Revel 1/48 F105G Thunderchief

Promise this is the last one until I finish some of the others lol Lovely big kit, bought for £6 in a sale. Wings to go on next and some filling tidying up.

    Revell 1/72 AH-1W Super Cobra

Sorry another one lol I think I am addicted to starting kits! Bit of filler needed to tidy this up and then to be primed.

    Airfix 1/72 Me109G-6

A nice little kit I bought to go with the Spitfire. Not the same level of detail as the Spitfire but goes together nicely. It's more to practice my airbrushing and camo.

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk1a (New Tool)

Primed and ready for paint.... In terms of the Sky paint for the underside I have both Tamiya XF-21 and Revell 59 Himmelblau. Both seems practically the same but a lot greener than I see on most other Spitfire models made. Should I add a touch of white or light grey to tone it down a bit. I'm...

    Revell 1/32 Heinkel He 162A

Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk1a (New Tool)

I personally like the larger panel lines. Alot of people are moaning about them (mainly the rivet counters lol). I think it adds definition for when you use a wash. Plus I'd rather have that than raised panel lines. The Mig and the Sabre will probably be next on my list as well. I may even join...

Thanks for the comments guys. Got the fuselage and wings on now. A bit of tidying up and then priming.

    Revell 1/32 Heinkel He 162A

Just a Panasonic FZ18. I did use a tripod though, turned off image stabilisation and turned on macro mode. Just out of habit I also applied a bit of de noising and sharpening in Lightroom. The shiny table does make it look a bit cool though lol Thanks
