Salmon zinc chromate?!?!? The wonderful world of modeling where you learn new things!

I'm now know why I bought a better air brush.

I have one of those, it's great! It definitely helps and takes the fumes out. I use Vallejo paints for most part so not much fumes. Still very nice to have.

    New here, Hello!

I'm in much the same situation, getting back to models after around 40ish years. Didn't have a airbrush back in the day so mine are a bit newer. Pretty new here myself and a hearty welcome!

    STYNYLREZ Primers.

I must be lucky or doing something right. My Synylrez is still good after 2 years. Been sitting for that time in a fairly cool place without any direct sun or artificial light. All the Vallejo acrylics seem to have faired well to other than settling out.

From what I've seen on original examples there isn't much of a standard color for zinc chromate. I imagine it varies a lot between manufacturers, application techniques and aging. Honestly I usually just mix some green and yellow and call it a day. Unfortunately I don't have much photographic...

Curious about what to paint the wheel wells on the Corsair.

I know the instructions say zinc chromate and that makes sense to me. But every restored Corsair they're the same as the plane. That makes sense to. But it could be something done for the restoration

I'm now know why I bought a better air brush.

When I got back to the hobby a few years ago I bought a few Amazon AB's. Poking around Marketplace I found a Iwata HP-C for a very good price. Didn't use it before today. Tried using one of the better looking Amazon brushes, don't know if I put it together wrong but it was not spraying at...
