This looks like a Supermarine Walrus, which were still in use by then.

My reference picture has only bottom stripes. I painted them on the top before I took a better look at the picture. Now I looked up more, and that picture must be at least one month after D-day, when the top stripes were painted over. I think you can even see the paint having dripped a bit on...

My new additions are a spitfire with British crew, a Spitfire with Soviet crew and a German crew. All ICM in 1:48th. At least one of the spits will be built as an MK V which will take some effort. It was easy to justify, as the sets were only a few euros much more expensive than just the crew...

Softened the edges a bit while making them straighter, added the rest of the non-transparent components. I'm working on the people in the picture now, which involves a lot of cutting and sculpting.

This is the thread for the finished creations of the D-Day collective build. Please post before June 1st, with a few nice pictures and (if you have it) a description of people involved.

Quite a bit of progress, though there is a massive amount of cleanup to do. I expect to be about halfway done. I decided to brushpaint which will be worse result, but my airbrush needs too much work.

I have a few update pics. Scaled ambition down to just the photo.

Mikromir also did something with their Fokker G 1, the body is all transparent because they thought putting the panes in would be a bear. I don't like that, but do get why they did it.

I am also not sure, but the first delivery method I read about was in a fuel tank. The lingering fuel taste later made them use the method above. I have been away for over a month, but have gotten a bit of work done. I'll make some new pictures sunday.

We're not going to be able to put them together anyway, so scale is whatever you like.
