I'm already planning my first diorama around this tank but it probably won't be finished for a while. I ordered an armored car w/ British tank crew to go with the tank.

Dealing with those road wheels was the largest pain in the rump of the entire assembly. I did manage to get the tank sides together without having to resort to gluing the road wheels in place but it wasn't easy.

The problem I have with weathering is that the effects are subtle so it becomes easy to go too much. I did paint the belly of the beast last night. Hard to tell with the gray on gray, but it's there...lol

SMA What's New In Your Stash?!?

I have been torn on getting this kit or the 1/48 I Love Kit 80' Elco kit. Either way the kits will require extras to properly model PT-509 for a D-Day contribution.

Yep, constantly happens to me as well. On a side note, be prepared for a lot of filling and shaping work on that Corsair. The kit is from 1963 molds and the fit is awful, to put it mildly. I'm still working on mine. Panther, have you looked inside the box on the PT Boat yet?

    Arma Hobby 1:48 scale Hurricane

Always! But in this case with masks the payout is worth it. Sure makes painting canopies a lot more care-free.

I got to looking at my paints and Vallejo English Uniform is a better substitute for the Oil Ochre. Had quite a time airbrushing it. I have the Model Color type and it was drying in the nozzle. I'll have to get a retarder to do the camo on the tank.

The tank is in primer, the trailing wheels just need some dry brushing and a wash, but I ran into a bit of an issue. The instructions call for Oil Ochre (MIG color) as the color for the grenade screen and parts of the camouflage. I cross referenced and got what was supposed to be a similar color...
