I finally was able to go out in a small aircraft and the pilot let me fly it for about an hour.
Nerve wracking at first but very fun and surreal. I am looking at going to flight school to get my Private Pilot License.
I went to my first ever IPMS chapter meeting today. It was a group of around 20 people. Very nice and welcoming group.
I plan on attending more meetings and might show off a build or two.
I also won $85 in the raffle.
Starting this kit this morning. There’s a lot of parts for this.
I ordered the aftermarket pilots sitting in seats from Sprue Brothers.
I will have to jump ahead a couple of steps until the pilots show up.
I have some 1/35 figures to paint and would like to know what flesh tone paint do you use? I realize that the figures should be a different shade but as a base color which do you prefer?
This build is my first time building a tracked/armored vehicle so hopefully it goes well.
This is also the first of two builds for an Armored Vehicle Recovery diorama.
I will be starting a tank recovery diorama soon and will be using a Italeri Armored Recovery Vehicle and one of my vehicles in my stash. That's where you'll come in.
Please vote on one of the vehicles in the poll and the winner will be the one I use.
Thanks for participating.
The remodel of my hobby room/office has begun.
Here is before and after of the closet. Next is to add a shelving unit for my stash.
Then bamboo flooring in the main space and redesign of craft space.
Went to the Airshow today. Here are some pictures. I will post more as I go through them.
First picture is of a P-38 Lightning, P-40 Warhawk, P-47 Thunderbolt, and P-51 Mustang flying in formation.
I have a Revell 1/48 P-40 Tiger Shark and an Airfix 1/48 P-40 Warhawk. I don't need them both as they are essentially the same.
Will trade one for any 1:35 armor kit.
