how can you improve on your scale modeling

I have to agree that no matter what resources you make use of to pick up new ideas and techniques, actually trying those techniques is the only way to progress. On the project I'm working on now, I've done something I've never tried before; pre-shading panel lines. A lot of folks won't consider...

"Howdy" from way down yonder in the bayou country!

Afraid you might be right there - I'll bet you remember the show UFO; I wound up with two box sets earlier this year courtesy of a friend of a coworker that was culling his DVD collection. It's been decades since I've seen the show, and much of it, frankly, is pretty cheesy. However, it was...

    Sheriff Rosco P. Coltrane

Actually, the light bar on Sty's build is correct for the car as it appeared in the series (watched way too much of the Duke boys during my formative years ;D)..

"Howdy" from way down yonder in the bayou country!

The BR club had a show about a month ago but I didn't hear about it until after the fact. I don't know enough about what happens in NO to know if there's anything happening down there. All this talk about the Eagles reminds me that it's been a long time since I've watched Space:1999; I might...

The Tales of two 'Technical' Pick-up trucks

Found 'em. It would be cool to see them scale one of those up to 1/24; maybe if the F-350 is successful they'll think about it.

The Tales of two 'Technical' Pick-up trucks

Very cool job on both trucks. I have one of the Italeri 'Armed Pick-Up's' in the stash and it will take some work to make it look half as good!

    Hello from La!

Thanks, guys, happy to be here. I already have a backlog of stuff to get started on; just because I haven't been building doesn't mean I haven't been buying... BTW, Grendels, I've been checking your videos on Youtube - nice work!

    The way you build

I've generally been happy with my builds, although I can almost always find something I could've done better. I find myself getting more patient these days, so hopefully on my next projects I'll be more likely to work through issues rather than go 'just finish the f'in thing already!!'

    Hello from La!

Yep, one more who's returning to the fold... I built a fair amount of armor and aircraft when I was younger, but cars and trucks are my first love (although some of the projects I'm seeing on here are making me go "now that's cool!"). Now that I have more time to dedicate to building, it's time...
