1/48 F-18 World Famous "Golden Dragon"

I score almost all my kits off ebay ;D. The one I used is now out of circulation, which Hasegawa has re-released few years back as this one: http://www.hasegawausa.com/product-pages/hsgs7326.html The decal is aftermarket from Squadron Products, which is much nicer...

1/48 F-18 World Famous "Golden Dragon"

Finished! Others have pointed out the inside nozzle is too clean as it's partially attributed to the camera flash that made it blurry in the picture. On to my next project :D

1/48 F-18 World Famous "Golden Dragon"

I'm on a roll here, this has been a speed build right after the A-10. Almost done in 2 weeks. I initially wanted to try salt weathering but chickened out after seeing some examples of failed attempts posted around. Filled some of the panel line with 0.3mm pencil. Will see how it goes with adding...

With the looming retirement of A-10s, I jumped on the bandwagon to commemorate the best close air-support aircraft ever built. Hope you like it.

    MIG-29 1/48 G.W.H

I think I may have mixed the wrong color of gray there for the darker patches, now it looks like a dotted milk-cow to me lol

    MIG-29 1/48 G.W.H

Finished and somewhat satisfied with the result. A little bit on the small size compared to other 1/48 especially the huge flankers.

    MIG-29 1/48 G.W.H

Made some progress this weekend. Went back to good old masking tape Mr. Color clear gloss 1x wash result after one wash

    MIG-29 1/48 G.W.H

Once the liquid mask is dry, start painting, once the paint is dry, start peeling the mask off. I'd say it worked perfectly with zero dmg to the primer coat. The mask is water soluble, for stubborn part, just dip some water with cue-tip and wipe it off. I missed a step here, should have made...

    MIG-29 1/48 G.W.H

Starting up again and experimenting with a couple of products I recently discovered First time using Mr. Surface 1500 black primer, looking good And first time using Mr. Masking sol neo, a liquid masking solution, just peel off when finished painting.

    Yet another IAF Ra'am

Here is a F-15I that's been through some mud. Everything OOB. It's a continuing learning experience for me with things that can be improved up on in the next build. Hope u liked it

    Academy 1/48 F-4B Sundowners

Just curious, this academy version has an option of leaving the model unpainted right? cause the plastics are already in color. [attachment deleted by admin]

    1/48 Russian Knights Flanker

Yep the very first Su-27 they introduced in the 90s. I noticed they had a special Russian Knights edition but I got this for cheap on ebay using Begemot decals. I'm terrible with large surface decals so they didn't help much.
