Started my first kit, and frustrated. Help PLZ

Bowsewr, I'm in the same boat you are as far as starting again in modeling. I bought my first kit about 3 weeks ago (5 German WW2 figures.) I, too, have spent a good chunka change for my start up costs. I've made the EXACT imperfections you have made - so you're not alone. It can be a...

    magnifying glass/glasses

Baron/Brian - Thanks to you both. I compared many types on Ebay and ended up going with the exact model you posted, Brian. I got them for $11, and free shipping. Not bad, considering. I wear glasses and just hope that won't be a problem.

    magnifying glass/glasses

This was the exact question I had. I love figures, but I can't see close enough for detailed painting. Baron (or anyone) - would you recommend the Quasar-type magnifier for the built-in lighting? Brian - how's your experience been with the headset you purchased?

    Beginner painting woes

Beginner modeler here and working on 1/35 German Infantrymen. I've glued an infantryman figure and applied Citadel "Liquid Green Stuff" to any crevices left after glueing. I've started painting the face and hands. An issue I'm having is the hard-to-reach areas (ie. forehead, parts of the...

    Hello from Indiana

Hello all. I'm getting back into modeling. I'm going to have some beginner questions, and I don't want to be "that guy" that posts questions in the wrong area. Is there a beginner forum? If not, here a first question regarding painting plastic miniatures: My first project is 5 WW2 German...
