Roden 1914 Pattern RR Armored Car

I thought you meant that there was a number on the plastic form part but it isn't the same as the number on the brass parts. How did you match them up?

Roden 1914 Pattern RR Armored Car

Looking great, Pantherman! To go back to your first post, I see that the wheel forms and the instructions disagree about which brass part go with which forms. Which is correct? Michael

Best home brew thinner for tamiya and gunze acrylics

For Tamiya I use Heat, an American automotive fuel additive, mixed with water 2/3 to 1/3. Works great and a lot cheaper. Mike

    Sopwith Camel seat

I'm sorry to hear about how ill you were and how difficult has been the climb back! From what I've seen, those seats do look nice, but if what you need is something fairly simple, I'd go without the cusion. In the end, it's about what you want to do, and the cusion would just be more...

    Andy's Hobby Headquarters

Anyone have any experience with Andy's Hobby Headquarters out of Glendale, AZ? He seems to have the full range of AK Interactive paints and the site I've been ordering from is, well, a bit spotty. Thanks! Michael

    B29 kit

The Monogram and Revell kits are the same, the old Monogram kit. Some of the Revell boxes have extras like photo-etch etc. Scalemates will help sort things out for you. Michael

Generic "Non-Cag" decals for 1/72 aircraft

There are plenty of aftermarket sheets out there with "line bird" markings for Navy/Marine aircraft. While I haven't ever ordered from 1001 Hobbies, from what I see their prices are almost always higher than other sources, sometimes significantly. My go to on-line hobby shops are...

    WING NUT WINGS

Great choice! Not much rigging on that one. I'm afraid that's one of the kits I have "in progress" ::) Be a bit careful with the way the wings slide together, that can get very tight. If you do it the way the instructions show, you might want to sand a bit of plastic off the male parts of...

    WING NUT WINGS

Wingnut Wings kits are excellent! I have build the S.E.5a and Albatros V so far and am working on the RNAS Pup with several more in the stash. Before these kits I had little WWI experience and they are wonderful models. I suggest EZ Line for the rigging, it sticks well with super glue and...

Builing Italeri's PT 109: The Last Night

You're entirely correct, do what you think is right. No one who actually saw the boat is here to contradict you. It's good to have a place like this to debate these issues, but in the end it's your model. Looking forward to seeing more! Michael
