Is it laziness or just freedom from technology ...

I've all but given up on Facebook and Instagram, I won't rant on about those here, but I am happy this place is still around :) . Anyways, because I'm not using FB and IG I'm finding that I'm not holding my phone so much, which is good. I'm also reading a lot more, which is really good, and I'm...

    Unhappy with Viper chipping

YouTube makes everything look easy! I just posted my thoughts on using Elmer's washable glue in the paint, weathering, and decal section. That might be another option for ya. But again, I can't stress enough, practice practice practice!

    Chipping with Elmer's glue

Greetings ... a few years ago I saw a video where the guy was using Elmer's Washable School glue for a chipping medium, he also used enamel paints for the top coat. I finally got around to trying it this weekend and I really like the results. I used it on some scratch made1:35 corrugated metal...

    Unhappy with Viper chipping

I've used 99% isopropyl alcohol and a toothbrush to remove Vallejo paint. I just dabbed some on the model with the toothbrush then started scrubbing, that was on a 1:35 Sherman build, took it all off. It's a little slow going though. As you do this some clumps of paint may get left behind...

    What are you reading?

What’s everyone reading these days? I just finished The Rising Tide, great novel on WW2 focusing on the conflicts and battles in Africa. And I’m now half way thru the Drifter comic series. It’s a 4 volume set, fantastic artwork in this one.

    My world is shrinking

If we’re talking little spaces this is my work space. All the tools and paints are in bins under the table top. When I’m painting art the easel goes more in the center of the room. There is a doorway immediately to the left that goes into the living room so everything has to be kept tidy...

    Dinky Doughnuts

This is a little 1:87 doughnut shop I built not too long ago. The doughnut was from a Walthers doughnut shop kit, also 1:87 scale, the doors and window are Tichy Train, the electric and gas meter are 3D printed from Shapeways, and the structure was scratch built. I wanted the building to be...
