    Just picked up this great Model Cellar kit to paint for a buddy of mine who builds the awesome Wing Nuts WW1 Aircraft. I started it this morning and finished it in 4 hours - really fun to paint! All Vallejo and Andrea acrylics as usual... Dave

    Just about completed, a little more clean-up, add the Verdun nameplate after I fix the lettering, and it's done. The nameplate is a actually a piece of shrapnel that I picked in Verdun near Fort Douamont.

    This WW1 German Machine Gunner is from Jeff Shiu and requires a bit more work than the Jon Smith kits. I replaced the helmet, gas mask can, and the canteen with JSM parts which I prefer. Also removed the seams on the back of the boots and scribed new side seams which is correct for this period...
