    Thunder Models 1/35 Case Tractor

Seen a couple of the Thunder Models kits now, built and unbuilt, they really are a sight to behold and all reports say they go together really well but the 'gimmicks' like working suspension, and details means they are not for beginners. Below built by a member of the local club.

    Is it "NEW"?

Most kits out of Asia are not shrink wrapped or even sealed. Europe will often have a seal (Airfix, Revell EU etc). But to me shrink wrap is a very American thing as I have only really seen it on old AMT, Monogram, Revell US kits. I guess to me 'new' would mean that if the kit was traditionally...

    It's back up!

Just got an email pointing me here. Very happy to see the forum back. Only ever used 2 forums at at a time and when I started getting bench time again it was disappointing to see SMA was in 'hibernation'

    Airbrush clogging.....help!

Some good tips already but I'll add a couple more. The most expensive options are grappling the game air range, it's fantastic and sprays beautifully. I'd also make sure you are not running any lacquer/enamels through the airbrush as they can mess with acrylic paints, flush with acrylic...

    Airbrush recommendation

I'm a Badger and Iwata user (5 different models) but that's got a lot to do with availability. I'd love to use the h&s stuff but it is cost prohibitive to get in this part of the world. For fine detail work you can't go past the sotar 20/20 which if you are patient often turns up super cheap...

    Your best quick tip/technique/diy

I have a piece of glass that was from a old chine cabinet, it's about A4 size that I use for a palette. It does not absorb paint, makes mixing easy and the lil finger hole holds a lil cup of water/thinner, and the best part is that once dry it can just be scraped off like pva glue with a cheap...

    Superman Vs Batman

They did not learn any lessons from Clooney Honestly neither franchise has done a lot for me recently. One guy who likes dark caves vs the alien who gets strength from our sun, it's like a watered down sugar free Freddy v Jason

    Tamiya AS Colours Match??

The tamiya rattle cans tend to be on the glossier end of the spectrum where the VMA paints are on the matt side of satin. As far as colour matching there are a couple of good apps for your phone or try http://scalemodeldb.com/paint

    Oil vs acrylic wash

I find the Vallejo washes really good if you want to 'wash and walk away' as you can come back later and clean it up with water and it does not 'bite' into clearcoats like some enamels can if left. I have also been known to use it to tint acrylic paints a shade darker or lighter as well as...

    Tamiya Ferrari 640 / F1-89

Looks fantastic to me. The only thing I'd mention is the seam on the tyres could do with a sand. How is the scale finshes paint to work with? PE looks good and I'm always happy to see more F1 builds
