1997 F1 GTR Longtail (Image Heavy)

The type of person I am: I saw the support sprues in the body and thought you should keep those and make the car an apocalyptic racecar...like you're racing other survivors in a deathrace, winner receives food rations. :D

The stick thing is the hose to the filter pack. The .50 is the persuader...no traffic issues!

I like it! That's why I asked...it just looked unique.

I've got a gas mask and pack on the passenger seat. I'm using the chrome sprue as a template for the angles. I'm not sure whether I want to use the aluminum tubes or sprues yet.

    Revell 2014 Stingray Snap Kit

I've had my eye on a Mack fire truck...but it being a snaptite has repelled me like mosquitos from citronella. It has serious potential for detail.

What process did you do for the blue? I'm intrigued by it. Beautiful color and interesting finish.

    Apocalyptic Peterbilt

This guy is still packed up from the move. I'm kinda scared to unpack it and see what damage has been done. When I bring her back out, I'll get better pics. There's a ridiculous amount of detail that you can't see in these pics.

    Apocalyptic Ford F-150

I'll have to get a better pic of the engine. The bumper setup protects the radiator. I was a technician for Infiniti and Nissan... I know better when it comes to mechanical accuracy. 😜

I just started digging through the sprues... I take back what I said about less flashing. The styrene is much better quality than some, but this model has alot more flashing than normal.

Very similar to this, except older and not a Kenworth.

Yes Datsun! Love the old Datsuns. Also, I love your wire work! That's a fantastic way to do metal trim!

Unfortunately no. I was driving at the time and saw it in passing. I'll try to find a pic online of one similar.

The bedside rails are sprues, and the front bumper was originally a single tube bumper that I added sprues to make it more structurally badass. I keep all my sprues just for things like this.

WIP Tankvette (and Revell engine FAIL)

Some progress pics. 1: finished interior. The .50 won't be permanently secured until after the interior tub is installed in the body. 2: lots of body work using styrene and Tamiya putty. I'm currently waiting for the putty to cure so I can start sanding. 3: the frame in process. This will be...

So I have dozens of opened but untouched kits, most with a gameplan attached to them. Obviously, plans never go the way you expect. However, this cabover will pretty much adhere to my plan. I saw a real one the other day that was completely blacked out, wheels and all, with a flat black paint...

WIP Tankvette (and Revell engine FAIL)

So my latest kitbash is just stupid awesome. Tamiya Walker Bulldog and Revell 2 in 1 68 Corvette. I'm using the BIG engine, and let's see how many people can spot Revell's epic fail? I followed instructions for this engine, and ended up with a WTF moment. I fixed it by cutting apart the belt...

    Apocalyptic Peterbilt

This was an extremely fun build. My favorite part is the napalm cannon; I used an axle from a "parts" kit, and some electronic bits, finally adding the styrene shield.
