    JU88-A4 Pro-Modeler from 1999

The PE came with a nice foldable seat for the gunner (if that was the 3rd crewman's assignment), also the throttle, dive-brake, flap levers were very flat (well duh it is PE) so I glued little slivers of Evergreen to the ends to represent knobs/handles.

    JU88-A4 Pro-Modeler from 1999

Understood Jakko, there was something about those smooth donuts that just bothered me, however the Continental logo looks exaggerated on the resin too. I just have to build what makes me happy. I'll try to sand them down a bit, you care barely make out the logo on the maintenance photo I showed...

    Why why PE metal parts

Thanks for those tips. Speaking of the glue I was wondering what to use to attach PE to clear parts. I use CA almost always on PE to plastic, but I know it will fog the clear.

    JU88-A4 Pro-Modeler from 1999

The JU88 was in service the entirety of the war, it was a good night fighter platform where the HE111 was not. So I believe what they used varied over the years, depending on manufacture, campaign, repairs, and availability I've seen several different types of tires on them. The one you posted...

    Why why PE metal parts

Sorry for not being more specific. I meant a slab of flat plate (thinking of it as the anvil) and another piece of flat, or rolled stock to be the hammer. I've had trouble with keeping a larger PE art flat while cutting/bending/filing on it. I'd just like a better way to make sure it is flat...

Group Build: Historical Warships of WWII

I cannot give a love and a laugh reaction to the same post or I would! I haven't touched my battleship in several days, but I do have bench time. I'm at a stand-still due to indecision; I've come to realize I am a long way away from being "correct" for measure 22. I would have to paint all...

1/144 german destroyer class 119 revell

How common is that problem, the upper deck doesn't want to seat well to the main deck? Asking for two reasons... 1.) I used Irwin grips like that on my 1/350th BB-35 for the same purpose but only have two. 2.) I've ordered one of these 1/144 kits too.

    Why why PE metal parts

Steer clear of building model ships! In general I like PE, my biggest issue is filing off the "sprue" tabs I get sometimes. I have bending tools and dollies, but nothing for flattening. Any recommendations?
