When we changed 'sponsors' , Ford's " Special Vehicle Operations" came to Sonoma Raceway. They configured Mustangs for the school. All but 5 or 6, 240 & 260 Z's didn't have a VIN number. The non-VIN cars were crushed. Very sad.

We had over 30 240z at a driving school in N California. ( I took this photo)..... Wonderful cars!!

Model building is SUPPOSED to be "leisure" ... a hobby..... Makes you forget your job crap..... Until your little sharp knife stabs your finger tip... o_O

I have a collection of 1 1/18" diecast cars. If you look at the brand, 'Exoto', you can find examples of 'road wear', from after a race, on some models.

The decals don't look bad,..... but as you suggest, they may be. I might try one and see?

You could always, use the airbrush to create dust & dirt on the lower tank...
