Either way, either plane, bomber crews fought a unique war, on the ground life was as good as it got. In the air, uncertainty and terror. The series, I believe did its best to capture the drama in the air as well as on the ground. So many different aspects to the air war that it would take...

The awning is the nose of a 1/48 drop tank, ya never know what becomes useful.

Part did come in a couple of weeks ago, trying to finish it as a graduation present for my daughter, college. Stripes were to be decals but they sucked so went the hand painted stripes, still have to touch them up a bit. So here we stand at the moment.

Thak you for the kind words and encouragement, quite the journey it's been. I don't know where the trees came from, my friend just gave me a box of stuff with this to work with. Somethings in the box work, some don't, like O scale telephone poles.
