best way to sell built kits online?

I agree and I’ll never understand. It gives me the impression that the builder wants to exploit his work for monetary gain/greed rather than for his own enjoyment.

    Masters of the Air

How many other films you claim the B-17 have been done to death? I only count one - Memphis Belle; although it is loosely based on real life but hyped up for Hollywood. That will not happen. This is Tom Hanks third and final series after BoB and The Pacific Faster than B17, longer range, and...

    Masters of the Air

There are a lot of different books on the Mighty Eighth - including one I’m currently reading - Masters of the Air; so what’s the difference which one you read. I watched a documentary on National Geographic Channel, The Story of the Mighty Eighth, a very good documentary by the way. I highly...

    ATOM Paint Reference

...this paint brand…. for airbrushing. Paint is thick out of the bottle. Add some in the airbrush pot, add their thinner, and spray. Easy, right? B$@*&#%!? No matter how much thinner I add, it simply gums up at the bottom. Maybe I should have mixed it in a separate bottle, then add to airbrush...

    Decal alignment

I wouldn’t sweat it. You’re not gonna see it nor notice it anyway. I’ve had a few applied crooked. I’m not gonna be that anal over it. Remember… this is suppose to be a relaxing hobby.

    Decals

Looks like you applied the decal on flat coat. You’re better off applying gloss coat prior to decal sessions. I don’t cut the edges on small/tiny decals. As someone mentioned, micro set and micro sol should help it. Make sure you spray another coat of clear coat - flat coat for military...

Advice on making your own painting masks

I’d love to get a silhouette or Cricut machine but I don’t have the funds nor the space on my bench for one.

    Beware

Before you start bashing them, I suggest you read the reviews from other customers. Or worse, a member who has done business with them and will defend them & make you look like a fool. So yeah, I will defend Spraygunner as a legitimate site. I’m very familiar with the Spraygunner website - In...

    F-35B Build cont.

Might be easier getting this. Yes, it’s a bit pricey, and yes it’s for the Italeri kit but that’s irrelevant. It should work on yours. Save yourself the frustration...

    F-35B

We’re all civilians as hobbyists. LOL! Hell, I’m hard of hearing and never served in the military. I’ve done a fair enough aircraft kits in my life. So reading aviation magazines, books, online sources, etc… is basically research.

What a difference a year makes.

If the missus says you have too many model kits, ask her when was the last time she looked in her closet filled with shoes, clothes, makeup products, hair care products, and jewelry. That’ll shut her up. LOL!

That’s the exact Dremel I have. The variable speed is a big plus feature.

Pampered.. eeehhh. They are stored under open hangars though. They still get dirty but not as bad as Navy jets on carriers. Keep in mind, they don’t wash them down after every flight.

    Handy tool

Looks similar to the Dremel. Variable speed?

    Decals copying technique..?

The only way to get white is get decal paper with white backing, not clear. The downside is you’ll have to trim/cut exact on the color edges.

    Pre-shading

There are no 1/35 scale jet kits - rarely produced if that. I’m assuming you meant 1/48 scale. I would advise against using sharpie markers. It will not end well if you even attempt to try it. Once you use it, you will not be able to wipe away excess since it is a PERMANENT marker. But hey, see...
