    Masters of the Air

To be honest, haven't B17 films been done to death? How about a Band of Brothers style series about B-24s. For me, they were the work force of USAF. Faster than B17, longer range, and more bomb capacity. Less guns. More B24s produced. More lost. B24 crews were the true Masters of the Air.

Some recent builds. First post with photos.

I plan to use the DC 3 as a flying detail over the new layout currently in the works. It is strange both are 1/48 but the plane looks huge. But another but, the paratroopers fit the door height of the caboose, go figure! Should be interesting....

I'm much the same. Back and knees are knackered. Never gave it a thought lifting and lugging huge fire doors about when I was young and stupid, the result being a multitude of micro fractures in the vertebrate. I really miss the smell of just milled pine. Pantherman

Those battleships had amazing firepower. 16” guns were extremely effective

How is it we high jacked this thread? These stash posts need to be somewhere else. This is a PBY-5 Catalina thread.

I had to buy a new lunch box for work and this tank jumped from my wishlist right into my cart. I don’t know what happened. It will show up by the 21st.

40 years as a carpenter? I got 30 years as a custom home framer and eventually remodeling. I love working with wood. I began working with shuck components running a Timber Mill saw that cut up lumber for house trusses. I live in Phoenix so that was back in the hay day when Del Webb's Sun City...

    Old male armour

I'm trying a different technique with the figures. I'm making washes and using them in a layer fashion instead of straight from the bottle. I'll just keep on building they layers until I like the effect, so far it seems to be working for me.

It took 7 minutes to go from this to this a damp cloth was used. As with any filler, it takes a few applications to get it right. Still feel a ridge another coat was applied

    Tamiya Me-262 A1

All finished, a little more weathered than I was planning, but this 262 definitely saw service with the famous JV44, so it is what it is.
