I was about 10ish back in the '60s when Bid Daddy/Ed Roth's Rat Fink craze happened. I loved it back then although I didn't get any or only one of two of the Revell themed kits. So when I started serious model building again 15+ years ago I picked all I could find. I built a few of them but recently started selling many of my kits and most of my buildups due to aging and needing to downsize. I had a couple of the monsters in cars listed on eBay and sold a couple to a guy in Japan. Then we got in contact outside eBay and I sold him four more and am now building the others for him. It is a pain to ship to Tokyo but has worked decently so far. I just finished a couple and have 2 or 3 more to complete his collection. He is sending me Brother Rat Fink because they are rare and very costly. Here are my Rat Fink and also similar themed Weird-Ohs and such.

Although I love everything that is/was Ed Roth, I never was a fan of the "creatures" in his models.
Rat Fink is cool and funny, but the rest are...well not to my liking.
Still, your builds are great.

Weird Ohs are different and I like those characters.
To me they look a lot more human, and remind me of what humans become when they drive cars! lol
And again, your builds are top notch.

The Silly Surfers are great, and fun, and who doesn't laff at those.
Your paint work is awesome, especially on the Silly Surfers! Fantastic!
Your skin tones are well done.
I especially like what you did with Beach Bunny. She's gorgeous!!
She has a difficult face to paint (in my opinion) and can look really cheap and ghastly if not painted correctly.
I have a miniature of her put out by Hawk models, and even they couldn't do her justice.

I was a little older than you back then, maybe 13 or 14, but I remember them well - along with all the monster kits.
I think I did only one Aurora monster back then, the witch, along with two other buddies when it was released. I loved the movie, when I snuck up to watch, and the kits but had limited resources. Here's all my Auroras I did over the past 15 years but also sold for age related downsizing. I keep building but lots of contract work and the most special projects for myself.

Wow, was that directed to my comment mate? If so you're definitely vintage (I'm 76 and counting!) - I only remember them from great builds such as yours, and kids comics type of thing!
