Pit Road 1/35 Type 92. This is the tank I asked for help with colours on this forum. From what I can gather it's a vehicle used from the early 1930's, the designation Type 92 should indicate it was accepted for service in 1932. It's official designation Heavy Armoured Vehicle seems a tad odd for something that would otherwise might be called a tankette, apparently it was made for the cavarly and to avoid any problems with the army, which was supposed to have all the tanks, it was designated a Heavy Armoured Vehicle. The armed forces of Japan and the disputes between the different brances in the years up to and including WWII is a story in itself, so for political reasons this was not a tank

I have assembled most of it and it's almost ready for painting. The turret, rear wheels and commander are just placed on the tank for the photos, and have been removed again for painting. The road wheels will be painted on the sprue. The exhaust pipe will be assembled later, and I'm going to modify the exhaust pipe cover with some metal mesh specifically made for modeling. Not something I usually bother with, I didn't think the part did the rest of tank justice though. Don't hold your breath waiting for updates, I'm a slow builder

Looking good so far. I agree that the mesh on the exhaust can use some work, and will probably enhance the look of it a lot.
