    Corsair 1/48

that was my thought as well. Ive seen the patch but it does not look like the corsairs themselves had specific squadron markings. I also read that according to Pappy himself they didnt have specific planes as their own. They often ended up flying whatever was air worthy at the time.

Do you or anyone know if vmf-214 had any specific markings? Ive been doing some research on Boyington and I havent been able to determine that part yet

work stress was taking its toll on my so I needed an outlet. maybe more than one.

An interesting story but probably all too familiar.Stress at work has always been an issue for me but the last couple of years it has been especially burdensome. I wont bore anyone with the details but I decided i needed an outlet. More than one actually. My first passion is motorcycles and I...

Have you noticed that plastic scale models are a rather expensive hobby these days?

I just got back into doing this and I was shocked at the prices of these models. I remember 25 years ago when I was doing this we had a Toys R US back then with lots of model kits. Anyway I bought a Cutty Sark that was probably nearly 2 feet long. It was a big scale though I dont remember what...

Same here. I started a build on a b17 by revell. An old classic. Its slow going of course but I have found it relaxing and de-stressing which is what I need. Its never going to look like some of the work you guys produce but for me I think its going to be ok for a real first try. After thats...

I would have to agree I think with that but all these models are expensive enough as it is so that scale is really up there. I will say though I might just have to do one just like yours at some point. The reason is that its a hayabusa.. which is funny cause that was the last bike I had before I...

    F-4B Phantom II VF-111 "Sundowners" NL 201- Tamiya 1/48

That looks really nice! When I was in the Marine Corps I was stationed in Japan and VMF 214 was stationed there and they were flying those planes. Man they were so freaking loud.

thanks i appreciate that. So what company in your opinion would be the highest quality? I like the 1/48 scale as its a bit bigger and easier to handle... from past attempts at least

I belong to the Wingmasters club here in dayton. We fly out at a park called Wegerzyn gardens ... We lease the area and it has a paved runway. Its not bad. I just got into it this year. Flying an 1800mm Ranger by fms. electric. Its been a lot of fun but getting parts has grounded me for some...
