After getting my airbrush working, I was able to finish up an old shelf queen. Very happy with the results even if the camo isn't whats on the box. https://youtu.be/QaGtmuAI4rE

    Monogram '32 Ford Street Rod

Another completed project, Monogram "Classic Cruiser" 32 Ford Street Rod. After spending the last couple months on Warhammer projects, I was able to finish up this shelf queen this week. It's a cheap kit with few parts but makes for a fun build. The second of these classic cruiser kits I've...

    '55 Ford F100 Street Rod

Finished enough. Not perfect, but done. Monogram Classic Cruiser '55 F-100 Street Rod. For a $12 kit's pretty nice. Very simple, sure but the finish isn't bad at all. I spent the last 2 days trying to get the flames to sit perfectly flat and just gave up---wasn't worth the stress anymore...

    '92 Firebird Formula

First non-warhammer kit since the BSC. Cheap MPC kit I got on closeout. Built it with my kids, but they lost interest. After sitting a few months I finished it over the last week. Color is Testor's Model Master Honduras Maroon. Turns out the rear window can't be installed with the spoiler...

    CONTEST RESULTS

Congrats to all the other winners and thanks to everyone for the votes! I had a lot of fun building the General Mayhem, and it was only the 2nd non-Warhammer model I've done in 20 years. I'm thinking about doing another Roadkill car next year...

Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem (FINISHED)

Re: Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem I'm very happy the deadline was extended once again, as I was going to be hard pressed to get it done by Sunday. Especially when working on the wheels tonight I found I had lost/thrown away the adapters that sticks them on the car. So I had to...

Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem (FINISHED)

Re: Roadkill '68 Charger Wow! it's been a while since I touched this with so much other stuff going on, mostly Warhammer commission work. But tonight I broke the car back out. I carved down the windshield to fit around my modifications, and then cut the front bumper off the stock grille. I...

Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem (FINISHED)

Re: Roadkill '68 Charger OK finally got back to it a little Finished the dash by carving out a shift nob from a bit of sprue. I also had to get rid of the clutch pedal as the General Mayhem is an auto. Yes it means the trans will be wrong but eh, close enough. Now a question: anyone have...

Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem (FINISHED)

Re: Roadkill '68 Charger Day 3 and the interior is just about done. First, the dashboard. Here is the best screen cap from the youtube video Now my scratch built version I especially like the Tach which is a 1/8" rod inside a 3/16" tube. The sides of the interior are separate piece so I...

Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem (FINISHED)

Re: Roadkill '68 Charger Day 2 of the build First, I fixed the roof by extending one of the braces and then adding wires for the dome light (again, based on pics of the car). I also filed down the wheel well chrome. On the interior I spent most of the night sanding down the carpet texture...

Roadkill '68 Charger - General Mayhem (FINISHED)

Re: Roadkill '68 Charger I'm finally wrapping up my current commission so I had time to work on this. Looking through pics of the car, I realized it has no interior and I wanted to replicate that. I started with sanding off the headliner texture and then built up something like the structure...
