I have just started this 1/10th scale figure from Young Miniatures. It is really a beautiful sculpt! Painted as always with Vallejo and Andrea acrylics. More photos as this one progresses.

Just picked up this great Model Cellar kit to paint for a buddy of mine who builds the awesome Wing Nuts WW1 Aircraft. I started it this morning and finished it in 4 hours - really fun to paint! All Vallejo and Andrea acrylics as usual...

Just about completed, a little more clean-up, add the Verdun nameplate after I fix the lettering, and it's done. The nameplate is a actually a piece of shrapnel that I picked in Verdun near Fort Douamont.
Much work to do still on the tunic as the base color has been painted so that I can now begin the shading, highlighting and "wool effects" using pointillism techniques. The technique requires hours of creating subtle patterns using various "dots" of tones of the base color to achieve texture and...
I just completed this 90mm Andrea Roman - it was my first try at working on anything "ancient" and painting the shield was a quite a challenge! This will be delivered to my customer tomorrow...
