Water based acrylic coming off diorama

Sorry, I mean I took some ash from our fireplace to add a fine grain texture and used craft glue to attach this. The ash base is solid. I even run air over it prior to painting to blow off anything that hadn't stuck although the glue was well and truly dry and the base that was painted onto was...

Water based acrylic coming off diorama

I sprayed some thinned waterbased acrylic onto my dio that I'm practising techniques with. The colour is over the top of craft glued ash that is solid. After I had painted it I attached some static grass and turned it upside down and tapped it. I noticed later that some spots had exposed ash...

Beginners Cheap Airbrush Set-Up Reviewed/Noob finds his feet with an airbrush

Hi guys, I wanted to give an update on this set-up as it is now complete. http://www.scalemodeladdict.com/index.php/topic,6852.0.html I was awaiting the gauge as the gauge built-in measure psi to the tank but not leaving it so I couldn't control the fluctuation to the brush itself. I have...

Does anyone know how to prevent or fix cracked air-dry clay

thanks, I'm keen to learn how to use this correctly as it so super cheap at my local two dollar shop, I also found their texture paint is super cheap too but it is more of a coating than for building.

Does anyone know how to prevent or fix cracked air-dry clay

I saw this. Very good. This where I would like to be when I learn how. I ended up coating it with white glue then when that dried I added a mix of white glue, texture paint and acrylic paint. Just waiting for that to dry.

Does anyone know how to prevent or fix cracked air-dry clay

I'm having a bash at making terrain for the first time. I have used air-dry clay on the board and whilst drying it has cracked and released from the board in some spots. I plan to glue it back onto the board where it has come loose and was going to try one tip of adding more wet clay to fill the...

    Beginners Cheap Airbrush Set-Up

Thanks for this. I saw the addition of the guage on the only review of this compressor and he said it made all the difference. I'm unsure why the model below it has one but this one doesn't. It is super quiet though. Once I work out how to airbrush and have a go then I will look into upgrading...

First time EVER with an airbrush please help

Its a cheap ebay one, as it is my first go I didn't want to spend heaps. If all goes well I plan to buy a brand name. Its duel action with three size needles so it has everything I need to try out on. It seems to measure the psi off the tank and not off the psi entering/leaving the airbrush. I...

First time EVER with an airbrush please help

Hi Guys, So I will tell you the story start to finish and perhaps you can tell me the abundance of newbie mistakes I have made that may help. I set up my airbrush, I am still waiting for the inline air guage I will attach so the pressure sat at around 20 psi and wouldn't go up much farther...

    Plaster wall

No scale. Purely experimentation. I'm new to dioramas so I'm playing around.

    Plaster wall

Update: got some texture paste from the two dollar shop and tried this. I tried to brush paint acrylic over it but the brush strokes are blindingly obvious. I'm going to sand it a little and try airbrushing when I get the chance and see how this looks. Wonderful that no matter what it has only...
