Issue 6? Any word on when?

Ken and Scott, I can't remember when exactly I received my copy of issue #5 in the mail; in another thread Talen states he received his issue #5 either late January or early February 2015. I assume most subscribers that paid for a six issue subscription would have received their copy of issue...

1/144 Revell Boeing 747-400 "Ed Force One" FINISHED

Re: 1/144 Revell Boeing 747-400 "Ed Force One" Just getting caught up on a few threads. Small scale civil air stuff doesn't usually interest me, but very cool with the "Ed Force One" markings. How do you like the "Stynylrez"? Jason

Workbench update (Now building Revell Ar 196 A-3)

Thanks for the positive comments N.D. I really do appreciate them. I'm kind of stalled out on this build. My original plan was to build it for the show in Edmonton, but I've once again bit off more than I can chew at home. I was sick for three months, I'm trying to finish a University math...

Workbench update (Now building Revell Ar 196 A-3)

Re: Workbench update (now building Revell 1/32 Ar 196 A-3) Work on my Revell Ar 196 A-3 float plane continues. It's a great kit, but it requires some elbow grease in terms of filling ejector pin marks, and careful fitting. Thankful Zappa is building the same kit with me, and because he builds...

    1/32 Revel Tornado ECR Completed!

Re: 1/32 Revel Tornado ECR Nice work on the Tonka. I have the same kit here in my stash some I'm closely following along with your progress. Most modellers won't even notice/know the difference of the IDS seat back panel vs. the ECR seat back panel... Jason

    1/32 Kinetic CF-18 Hornet complete!

Re: 1/32 Kinetic CF-18 Hornet Based on the photos, I agree with you on skipping the flat coat - gives the weathering a almost "layered" appearance. The overall finish looks almost satin. Looks good.

Workbench update (Now building Revell Ar 196 A-3)

Re: Workbench update (pic heavy - sorry...) And with the Ju 88 done, I've started something new. Zappa and I are both building the 1:32 Revell Ar 196 at the same time. Here's the kit engine mostly assembled with the preliminary painting done.

Workbench update (Now building Revell Ar 196 A-3)

Re: Workbench update (pic heavy - sorry...) Sorry for the delay in replying; I been ill the past couple months. Thanks for the kind comments aboynamedred, Baron and LrdSatyr8. I appreciate them. I did finish up the Ju 88, here's my final pictures. I didn't have the energy to do much in the...

    1/32 Kinetic CF-18 Hornet complete!

Re: 1/32 Kinetic CF-18 Hornet N.D. I've been following along - the CF-18 looks sharp, I like the paint work so far. I know it's a ways off, but would you be coming to the Alberta Open Model Contest (in Edmonton, May 28) this year? Looking forward to the next update. Jason

I really want to like Vallejo paints

I've been using Vallejo Model Colours and Model Air paints exclusively for about 5 or 6 years now. I'm allergic to Tamiya paints, and since I share my modelling space with my families rec room, the "no smell" nature of Vallejos paints worked out perfect. They do have a bit of a learning curve...

Workbench update (Now building Revell Ar 196 A-3)

Re: Workbench update (pic heavy - sorry...) After what felt like a ton of masking; I've still got a few touch-ups paint wise to do, (i thought I was all done but found a few more spots this morning). Then gloss and decals. Thanks for stopping in and taking a look. Jason
