I will let you know.......Pantherman
So I'm fairly happy for a first go at this. Kinda found my rhythm near the end.

Filled the channel with the clay, used the cocktail stick to gently push it up a fraction as I went along the weld line.

I plan to prime the tank with the German red brown vallejo primer as it would have been done in the factory. So the red clay should blend in. Then a few light coats of dark yellow before the winter camo. Pantherman

Some more progress on the winter camo. I'm thinking about just leaving it as it is because it looks rough and hand painted which is what I was trying to achieve.

Let me know what you think. The scheme is just randomly done and im not too bothered about how authentic it would have been. Just playing around with it really. Pantherman

Not much need for winter camouflage in North Africa, no … :)

(Fun, but really totally unrelated, fact: here in the middle latitudes of western Europe, we sometimes get North African camouflage free of charge. A couple of times every year, southerly winds carry dust from the Sahara all the way here, something like 2000+ km, which rain then brings down to the ground so it covers cars, roofs etc. in a thin brownish layer.)

Also just a little addition. I used my new decal pad for the first time and it was brilliant. Kept the decal ready for use for over 40 minutes when I realised I had to repaint the gun barrel darker so the decal can be seen. No water sloshing about and no decals floating off and settling on top of others. Pantherman
