Well, I got so inspired by Quaralane’s Batmobile thread that I had to go get my own.

I’ve got plans for this one, though, and it doesn’t include Batman. Does anyone know if there’s 1/25 scale human figures available somewhere?

I think I saw the 1/350 Enterprise-A at one of my LHS a couple months back for about $75 or $80 CDN.  I've seen some really great builds of it online, with lots of lighting, extra detail sets and scratch-build work.  Given the price of the model, I couldn't really justify shelling out another $90 for a steel internal support system, and another $200 for a complete lighting kit just to put it into my slow and inexperienced hands.  I've already got a FM MF kit that I don't dare touch for at least a couple years.

Speaking of which...

My latest acquisition, courtesy of punkpigpen (thanks again, dude!!!!!)  The 1/72 scale kit, along with the top grille set, landing gear baffles, and the clear resin engine pieces.  Just need a cockpit set to get this thing ready for assembly (someday).

I'm thinking this will be my Spring Contest entry.  The AFV Club M1126 Stryker ICV, along with a couple different PE/Accessory sets from Griffon and Trumpeter and a resin stowage set (of course, all meant for the Trumpeter version of this vehicle...) and some anti-reflective laser coating stickers for the viewing blocks.

@Darkblade: Yes ND has it right, $75.00 CDN.  It is a ton of plastic for the money!!  As for a sci-fi kit for beginner..I'd say anything that reaches out to you and really grabs your interest!!

@ND:  Yeah, I've seen those builds too ND!  I'll forgo the internal frame and will build my own lighting kit!  I've got a start on the shuttlebay, complete with fibre optics and some other mods.  It WILL be a long term project ;)  That Stryker looks seriously sweet!!  And the FM Falcon 8)

Nice set of extras for that Stryker ND. The Trumpeter version comes with about 459 pieces of stowage already haha.

My wife picked this up for me at Frenchy's for 3$. Anybody familiar with it?  It is 1/32. The figures look a little lame but from what I can see the truck is quite buildable. What am I saying, anything is buildable. I think I will do it as a civilian rig when I get around to it.

Makes a spot on Canadian version!! LOL But yeah, any 1/32 (54mm) figures will work....or...anything Verlinden as their 1/35 figures are a little on the big side!
