Jaitea's Falcon Projects

Hi I have these projects posted over at SSM, but I've noticed there's great work being done here also......so let me introduce myself, I'm 43, from Northern Ireland, been building models since I was a kid.....a good lot of them Star Wars kits
Heres a few photos I dug out:
1980:
http://img201.imageshack.us/img201/8726/scan00152.jpg
http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/6743/scan00153.jpg
1983:
http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/6122/scan00151.jpg
http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/9855/scan00162b.jpg
2004:
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/9269/dsc01581h.jpg
http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/8741/dsc01584zf.jpg
http://img707.imageshack.us/img707/6906/dsc01590sw.jpg
http://img834.imageshack.us/img834/8162/dsc01593j.jpg
All above are now sadly no longer with me.....but....I've got 4 more in various stages of development:
1x Fine molds 1:72
2x Revell easykits
1x Revell minikit
The Fine Molds kit is almost built...not painted...a bit daunting:
Here's some of my 1/72 Fine Molds....I've extended the details of the visible parts in the open sections:
http://img560.imageshack.us/img560/2935/p1000443b.jpg
and reduced the parallel Mandibles a bit:
http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/4002/p1000444b.jpg
The extended details in place:
http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/6079/p1000450b.jpg
http://img5.imageshack.us/img5/5307/p1000451by.jpg
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/1324/p1000452b.jpg
The docking rings with damage:
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/7488/p1000458b.jpg
http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/5792/p1000456b.jpg
And damage next to dish (or where dish is going)
http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/8540/p1000454b.jpg
The 1st Revell kit has had its sidewalls trimmed down and I was recreating the details for the sidewalls when production stopped.....child number 2 came along and the spare room became her room.....models etc retired to loft:
http://img534.imageshack.us/img534/2985/dsc01672ej.jpg
http://img202.imageshack.us/img202/4035/falcon2b.jpg
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/6344/falcon4g.jpg
The 2nd Revell kit I've posted on the Star Wars Forum as 'Millennium Falcon pre-modification', but I'm not sure now what I'd call it:
http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/8215/sam0468lv.jpg
http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/7029/sam0477e.jpg
http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/5418/img0417f.jpg
http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/5999/img0416ub.jpg
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/7835/img0415hq.jpg
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/7525/p1000440b.jpg
http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/9772/p1000442b.jpg
and the underside which I'm not totally happy with...especially the triangular nose section:
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/2199/p1000441b.jpg
Just need to keep going with them & this group build has given me the inspiration to get back to them,

back in university I built an mpc falcon. I painted it with testors gloss paint and used the crappiest plastic brush. I spent about 5 hours on it. I think it's in the attic of my parents house.
I hope I never see it again

Looking nice.
Although the canopy looks a little fogged

Yeah, the plastic is and was not the clearest…I might remove the windows, just have the frames…any thoughts?

Looks great but personally I prefer kits with just the framework.

I guess it depends on how much of the cockpit you want to see.
If you want to see inside the cockpit, I'd go for frames
