Ajax 31 Model Show Canada (Pic Heavy)
« on: Sat Oct, 29, 2011, 11:11:PM »
Hi Guys,

My wife and I attended the 31st annual Ajax model show and contest today.  Ajax is a city right on the 401 about 20 minutes east of Toronto.  The meet was very good with over 500 entries and about 30-40 vendors tables.  There was lots of books, mags and reference, aftermarket resin, decals and PE, paints and building supplies and of course a ton of kits.  It was quite busy there and I wasn't able to take a lot of pics or spend as much time looking as I would have liked but we had a great time!  Here are a few shots.  The build quality was high.

Some excellent models there

I was supposed to be there, but had to work last minute.

I had that Monogram B-52 kit back in the day.   That project coincided with me discovering girls and other teenage pursuits.  Needless to say the kit never got finished and it took me almost 15 years to get back into the hobby.   The sad part is the girl is long gone forgotten but I wish I still had that kit. :D

Great pics....thanks for sharing.

Too bad you couldn't make it J14.  It was a great show with a huge amount of stuff for sale.  Maybe next year!

Hey Norm, yeah some great models on display.  Now that you mention it Norm, I did see a number of Quebec license plates in the parking lot.

Yeah I was supposed to be there selling my stuff too.   I had about 25 kits I wanted to dispose of.  Me and a couple other guys had a vendor table.  They say they sold alot of stuff.  Next year!

I also couldn't make it because of work.
A friend was there and he mentioned that there were a lot of nice entries and from the picture, he was right.
Thanks for posting.
