All Japan Hobby Show Pictures
« on: Thu Oct, 13, 2011, 03:37:PM »
Hey there everyone,

Click the link to take you to the All Japan Hobby show going on at the moment, lots of new releases being announced for the end of 2011 and 2012 hobby seasons.

This show pretty much kicks off the hobby show circuit, IHobby at the end of the month, then the Tokyo Hobby show in early 2012 and then Wonderfest in May.

Some great new releases coming.

Just some of the highlights:

AFV Club showing test shots of their long awaited M42 Duster

Trumpeter showing off test builds of their T-64A, T-62BDD, IT-1 and others

Tamiya showing off their apparently newly tooled 1/350 Yamato

Fine Molds showing off a 1/144 Slave I

Moebius with a build up of their 1/32 Cylon Raider, as well as their new Black Widow and Iron Man 1/8 figures

Dragon with a slew of newly announced releases, including a newly tooled Vietnam era 1/700 USS Enterprise to go along with their recent release of the 1/700 USS Long Beach

And much, much more.

Check out the link....all in Japanese, but the pictures are worth 1000 words in any language.

10 Pages, lots of pictures, click on the pics to make them bigger!

New 1/350 Yamato is a real beauty!

OLD 1/350 Tamiya Yamato:

NEW 1/350 Tamiya Yamato:

 And a new waterline option....

:o  Wife might not like it but I'm thinking of getting HLJ's pre-order special that's  30% off and comes with the three upgrade sets for only ¥1000 more.   Only ¥19,110...  at least shipping inside Japan is only ¥1000.  What to do with the old 1/350 Yamato sitting in my stash.... Was planning a detailed buildup with the Lionroar set but maybe now I'll just build it oob and throw it on a shelf at work.

Also excited about the Dragon 1/700 '69 CVN-65.  Only wish it could have been CV-6... but I'll take it anyway!

That Black Widow looks really good.
That Raider, though, looks simply gorgeous

A lot of other really good looking models in there

Some interesting figure kits on display.  I like the set of Asuka and Misato from "Evangelion"  A nice selection of MaK subjects, too.  And of course, giant robots!

The building kit is cool, too.  Do you know if that is printed paper/pressboard parts, or injection-molded plastic?

And it looks like Great Wall is following up their P-61 with a TBD.  That should generate as much discussion on the forums as the Black Widow did.

Thanks for the links and the peek into the show, ELH!

Thanks for those vid links.

MG full armor unicorn looks sick but the rest of this fall's Gundam releases are kind of meh unless one is into AGE.

Man I wish you could get the Macross Frontier kits...
