WC-54 Dodge Ambulance
« on: Sun Oct, 02, 2011, 01:28:AM »
Hi Guys,

I've been looking forward to this build ever since I bought this kit two years ago.  What better place to bust it out than the SMA War Wheels Group Build!!

Got it opened up today and the kit looks good.  I cut the parts and did some cleanup.  The chasis is underway.  This should be a whole lotta fun and make a nice addition to my M*A*S*H Diorama project, currently in process. Thanks for looking Guys.

Jeff.

Hi Guys,

Well, I have a small (and I do mean small) bit of progress to report.  Got the chasis completely cleaned up and assembled over the weekend.  It fought me every step of the way!  I think it was more me than the kit.  End result turned out well, just took a little longer than usual. I've drilled out the exhaust and tried a new (to me) technique on it.  Coated it with extra thin and stippled it to give it a rusty appearance once the colour and weathering go onto it.  The wheels are glued up and clamped.  Tonight, I'll clean them up and may get some primer on them and the chasis.  Sorry about the snails pace on this one Guys.

Thanks a lot for looking in Guys!!
