Myke, Ian Hill is one of the Masters at Modelers' Alliance, he described a dry pigment application to me so I gave it a shot. waiting for his feedback to know if I did it right.

Here's a shot today out on the tarmac (the foot path to the garage...)

Wish I would have fixed those ailerons.

You can tell I had an orange shirt on...

Bless your heart for enduring all that! I cringe thinking about the masking issues. Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Ah, the old 'one, two, skip a few, ninety nine, one hundred' and your model's finished, no hiccups?  LOL

A beautiful plane, all the more so considering the paint issues.  Excellent work!

That Alclad is amazing stuff. She shines MP! That's better then the "Glow in the Dark" version.

Yes, throughly wash ALL PARTS!!  :-X I think that was my biggest problem with the masking accidents, there was some impurity on the surface of the plastic.

What AlcladII product do you have? If it's one of the High Shine ones remember it only works with a glossy base, preferably black. And the lighter the coat the better the effect.

Thanks for the heads up mp! I've got the 'airframe aluminium' alc - 119 I've never used it before... So put down a gloss black base coat enamel or acrylic or doesn't matter??
