Title: MasterCraft Models - 1:72 Gloster Javelin
Post by: Mikey_W_1980 on Wed Jan, 03, 2018, 08:26:AM

Arfta'noon everyone!

I've been looking at this kit for a while yet, but I don't know much about the manufacturer.

Has anyone built anything from MasterCraft?

Cheers

This is simply a re boxing of the old Frog kit from 1975. I have never done one of the Frog kits, but my understanding is that they were NOT all that great. And any mold from 75 is likely to have issues.

Cheers @smokeriderdon

I suppose you get what you pay for really...at £6.99 can't complain really?

Still tempted to get it to go with the Cold War aircraft collect....plus also to dress it up as XA801, the Javelin that used to guard RAF Stafford, the base I grew up on and near to.

If it is a plane you are interested in, go for it! There are plenty of subjects out there that are represented only by old kits or re boxings of those old kits. Or there may be a new kit, but it is expensive and offers little more in quality. Just be aware it is not going to be a new mold Tamiya type of kit.
