Kallamity briegel sniper edition
« on: Sat Mar, 03, 2018, 03:10:PM »
Hey guys. Been waiting to get my hands on this kit for a while and what can I say? It's a beauty. I've spent the last few weeks cleaning up the parts and test fitting but I'm now able to get to the painting stage. Still unsure about the overall paint scheme but I'm currently liking the overall black and grey, a few white bits here and there and a splinter desert pattern on the legs. I've scratch built a suppressor for the sniper rifle to make the already gigantic gun ridiculously big! I've also added a few bits of photo etch here and there from the spares bucket.

Box art

Suppressor

Leg test fit and paint. Incidentally this model is going to be weathered heavily, everything looks abit to clean at the moment

Hip joint

Torso with basic colours. I put the leg in shot to get an idea of how the colours /scheme works together

Thanks for looking! Any ideas/recommendations welcome!
Zak

So what do you think of the quality of the kit? Any concerns or issues?
I look forward to see this baby progress

It's Luca Zampriolo's Briegel, it's a limited run. Check http://www.kallamity.com/

Certainly is a beast of a kit! Considering that the kit is entirely produced by one guy, without the aid of the expensive printing/forming equipment that the bigger producers have I think it's really excellent.
With these 'garage' kits (although I think this term perhaps doesn't do the great quality any justice) you have to expect some clean up, eg some tiny holes in the resin here and there and a fair amount of sanding etc but nothing too taxing to sort out.
Thanks for looking!

Awesome build.  I would recommend if you haven't seen them already Kallamity's art books, plus the book where he discuss coming up with the Briegel and shows how he build the master.  Truly awesome.
